Jesus Walks Mike, a factual story:

Upon rekinkling the engine, I quickly put my face on and pulled down Lawshe toward the suites to put on
in the air with Silent Mike.  Its funny, after a rare evening-long encounter with T and Shad, I had resolved
myself to accepting my unsplifful day.  But the phone rang with an offer to share a sack.  Even though I
informed Mike that I was at a cash impasse, he insisted on offering $5 to the community.
"Gravy," I'm sure I said.
So, I scooped my mans and headed for Dumpster City.  As soon as he got in, homey began showering me
with drastic comments concerning his broad's imminent abortion.
"Dog, I haven't smoke since Saturday because I had to save for this abortion.  Look, I just got 5 - just
enough."
He mentioned virgin lungs and paused just long enough to puff, before he passed and exhaled
exclamations of fascination with his current situation:
"I'm sittin here smokin and I got a pregnant girl in the room."
He explained that he had raised funds for the half-a-stack procedure in part through contributions form a
couple females - mainly one.  After briefly outlining his association to each specimen involved in the
mayhem, he began speaking of family values and ethic.
I offered Mike a one time deal.  Stop messing with the females.  You never know what could happen.  Pick
which one you're serious about and be serious about her.  If you don't want none, then find what you're
serious about and do it.
I guess the old school that I listen to in the car presents too much mental instability for some.  And Mike
was rattled enough as it was.  So, I put on Late Registraion track #2.
"Dog, you got some Lupe?" Silent M inquired.
"Yea," was my answer as I pressed 'next track'.
Upon returning to campus, the scene was set for resolution.  I cued the denoument by telling Silent that
I'm sure that, since he can have arguments with the girl, she's a good catch...then, the song switched to
#4, right on cue.

Jay-Z sings and implements his dance craze/wave and spade.  Then, Ant and J told me bout a
Court TV case about the Black Guy; I should get started on
this info thing.
A Race
The gun shot was 400 years ago.  We lost.
150 years ago they started over, some people took off.
Some stayed.
60 years ago we started again, and we were winning.
We knew to be ready and white folks sent a spy(black).
White folks would just say “GO!”
The black guy didn’t wanna tell.
The white guy didn’t say “On ya mark, get set…”
Just “GO.”  Blacks stood still and got lapped,
Again.
Some folks were born into it, and just choose to
Wait.  White people are trained to win, but Blacks just chill.
There used to be stories about “working twice as hard.”
